Andy Newton's Review

I read this review on Yahoo! while I was looking for DVDs to rent during my Clean Flicks 30-day trial. It just made me laugh. The first paragraph is classic, the sincerity... heartbreaking. May you endure no sorro, and may you encounter many films about people not liking each other. Enjoy.

Plane's trains and automobiles has to be one of the funniest situation comedy movies of all time.
I mean the idea of two guys trying to get home for thanksgiving, and one of them not liking the other, is just waiting to be a great film.

The story is about Neil Page(Steve Martin) trying to get home to his family for thanksgiving.
But keeps on bumping into a freindly loudmouth Del Grithith(John Candy), and its like everthing in the world is trying to stop Neil and Del from getting home.
Their characters clash alot in this movie ,that makes alot of interesting confrontations between the two, funny ones and emotional ones.

This movie adds comedy, emotion, fun and sorro to the mix, and brings the far apart characters closer, that you rarely get anymore..
As we find out that Del Grithith is nothing more that a guy who wants a loving family, we feel sorry for the del, and this brings Neil feeling what anyone would do.

A true heart warming comedy, with a stunning end, that will leave you uplifted.
You really need to see this, if you want a comedy with true meaning, this is your ticket!
