Scary Pumpkins

We decided to paint the pumpkins this year. The girls thought they looked pretty scary.
I'm going to brag a little bit because it took a lot of work. These are the pumpkins from my garden and we have 11 more. I've been making pumpkin bread and pumpkin pancakes. I'm going to make some pie this week too. I really enjoyed seeing my garden grow and produce vegetables. The girls had a lot of fun helping me, too.

Those are scary! You are so much braver than I am. Bryan wanted to carve pumpkins this year and I just don't feel like dealing with the mess.
I LOVE Hailey's hair!

You are so cool for growing your own pumpkins, Janel.

(In case we aren't here, please leave all tasty pumpkin flavored baked goods in a package that the neighborhood cat cant destroy.)

Thanks.

You are SO cool for growing your own pumpkins. I am envious of your garden vegetables. I love the pumpking painting.

You grew your own pumpkins! Pumpkin pancakes! Inspiring. Check back with me next year, because I now have BIG plans.

What a great idea to let them paint the pumpkins! Bryan carved our pumpkin 2 days ago and today I let Rebekah paint it.

Elden: They look really scary
Gretchen: I miss them
Elden: Me too.

That is a fictional conversation. The real conversation went more like this.

Elden: I wanna pinch those cheeks!!!

I could tell you were at Grandma's because of the buckets under the counter. Don't tell her I said that.

'Em are some right nice pumpkins. We hollowed ours out and then never got around to carving them. Shame.
