Bouncing Baby Brimhall

JULIA WRITES:
I had my first ultrasound today. I guess I really am going to have a baby! There is only one baby in there, not two or three as some have predicted. The little kidney bean was kicking and stretching throughout the ultrasound but I can't feel a thing! I liked watching him/her/it swim around in there. It was really cool. According to the first day of my last period the due date is June 29th, but according to the baby's length (about 8 cm now from noggin to rear) it could be around July 4. The doctor said to stick with June 29th because going from the first day of the last period is usually more accurate. I like my doctor. His name is Doctor Layton and he is a very friendly, soft-spoken, gentle, middle-aged man. He says everything looks good!

DAVID'S COMMENTS:
Wow. We're all very excited about Julia and Kaleb's baby coming so soon. July is not very far away! I think Julia has a crush on her doctor. As soon as we know the baby's gender we'll host a real naming contest on the blog. Julia has agreed to use one of the names that we provide. The kicker: The family gets to vote on the winning name! But since we don't know the gender yet send your submissions to me NOW for the in utero name contest. So to clarify, there will be two contests: One for the name of the baby after he or she is born (contest starts after the gender is determined) and one for the name of the little "kidney bean" right now. For instance, Roger would be a good name for after the gender is determined. Ruggles Eames is the kind of name we're looking for right now. Send me your silly names!

Kaleb is in favor of the name Kael, but I tell him I will not name a son after a vegetable.

Kael is a vegetable? I think you mean Kabbage.

I think a contemporary kind of current events kind of name would be best. Maybe something from Hollywood? How about Shrek, Fiona, Don Key, Printzcharming, or Pussinboots? -- JBW

I think it should be named the way that all the crazy people in Georgia name their kids... By combining names. For Example:
Kulia
Juleb
We can go as far as Grandparents also
Luraleb
Julian
Kalian
But I thinkit should be named after a plant just like kaleb does. Cactus.
