Warner Garden

David and I are planting our first garden. The girls helped me put the dirt and the seeds in the cups. We have been having a lot of fun waiting and watching the vegetables grow. The zucchini and luttuce are doing the best. This is Hailey's string bean she planted at the Primary activity. Amanda's didn't make it.

PJ's

Hailey loves her PJ's. She likes to

wear them every night. So, I am not

perfect and I have forgotten to put them

in the dryer a few times. Which has

turned into a huge deal each time. I think it is funny

how someone can get so crazy and cry

for an hour about pajamas. I had to take a

picture of sad Hailey and happy Hailey.

This is a picture of Hailey the next morning after her

pj's came out of the dryer.

Ready, Set, Go.......

The girls and I went to California for 12 days. My Dad was so happy we stayed that long that he took us to The Monterey Bay Aquarium. My sister Jessica was in town with her kids, Makeala and Luca. The kids loved the walk-through tunnel, where the waves crash over your head. We returned may times. They also got to touch the starfish and crabs. We also went to the beach after visiting the Aquarium. The weather was beautiful.

Wipeout

The sad thing about this photo is that Amanda is on my lap. She did not have fun.

Busy

I just finished taking the Colorado Bar Exam. Now that I admitted it, everyone will be axing me if I passed. I'll know in May, don't axe until then.

Quotes of the Day

It appears there may have been an orchestrated campaign to
mislead the public about my nose.

-CONGRESSMAN HENRY WAXMAN
on advocacy groups' testimony that the White House encouraged federal scientists to play down the size and shape of Congressman Waxman's nose.

I'm so proud of my dad. His focus on the dangers of cosmetic surgery really speaks to my generation. I'm his greatest supporter.

-CONGRESSMAN WAXMAN'S DAUGHTER, KATRINA
on whether she supports her father's public statements on cosmetic surgery.

Squeak, squeak.

-CONGRESSMAN WAXMAN'S PET BAT, GUANO
on whether he looks like his master.

Pretending with the Girls

Hailey: "I'll be Mommy, Amanda is Daddy, and Daddy, you're Hailey."

Daddy: (In a high Hailey-like voice.) "Daddy, I have to go potty, right now!"

Amanda: "Mommy will take you."

Our New House

We'll be moving into this house in a few weeks. Even though it is very small, we are excited to have our own space. I can't wait to be able to play my tuba, trumpet, and saxaphone as loud as I want. Bye, bye, duplexes!

What's Happening

Hailey is attending a ballet class every week. Here is a video of her totally screwing up and getting busted by her teacher. I don't know if she's going to make it to the Moscow Ballet in 5 years like we hoped.

Amanda is still attending gymnastics. The camera ran out of batteries this week while Janel was trying to take pictures. Trust me, Amanda's triple backflips are awesome.

Janel is pretty much still the best wife in the world. Mostly she just makes me cookies and obsesses about finding a house. Click here to see the house we are going to view on Monday. She really wants to move out of my parent's basement. Me? I'm cool, my mom is still really good at doing laundry.

While we were in California for Christmas, Dad and I got some toys ready for me to take back to Colorado. I worked on an old '84 Chevy K5 Blazer all week and then I helped Dad (John) build a trailer for my '86 Honda CB450SC Nighthawk. You've already seen pictures of the 'Shark.' I made it to Colorado in 2 days and slept at Jacob's house in Salt Lake City on the way. Jacob and Nicole live right next to Temple Square, which is braggable. Even though it doesn't do so well up hills, I love my camping/thrashing/4-wheeling truck. I took Mom and Mikey up to go play in the snow in my truck last week after the big storm and crashed into a huge snowbank. While Mom and I laughed because we were having fun, Mikey said: "I have strong feeling that we should go home. You almost killed me!" The whole time we were doing donuts and sliding around in the mountains Mikey was reminding me of how many people die in the snow each year.

Here is a video of us playing in the K5 today.

Fun

Amanda's bike was the slowest. Yes, my wife caught Dad and me racing. Do you like my new teal motorcycle?

What?

The other day I was at the park standing on a frozen stream and this crazy lady came up and totally made out with me. What?
