Today was the last day of the July 2006 Texas Bar Exam. These last few months have been an endless cycle of study, eat, sleep, study, eat, sleep. I have been looking forward to this afternoon with a great deal of anticipation. Whenever times got tough, I would just think of Thursday, July 27 at 5pm. The day when I would finally be finished with law school and the bar exam! Alas, when I arrived at my abode this afternoon, triumphant, exuberant, excited to see my family and to finally be able to truly relax--I realized that something was horribly wrong. There were no streamers, there was no confetti, and no one had made any dinner. My home was empty. I was alone.
Shed a tear in my honor dear friend. A single tear of tragic disappointment while you whisper the words, "Poor, dear, sweet, Garlic Boy, poor, dear, sweet, tragically disappointed, Garlic Boy."

Dare I tell you? I shed a tear...from laughing so hard! Where was that scoundrel, Mrs. Garlic? Perhaps she was out picking up her order of graduation sunglasses. At any rate, I'll do something in your honor. Like brush my teeth or take a nap. And while my mouth is filled with minty foam, I'll mutter, "Vis onesh fo you, Gah-lic Boy."
You are extraordinarily cool. If I were there, I would have said "good job," and then offered a handshake. Since I am not there, I will say "you are fantastically adequate," and then offer a cookie the next time I see you. Be sure not to suprise me though, because if you do, all promises are null and void.
Have fun sleeping and getting reaquanted with your family. Janel's new husband is a great guy. You'll like him.
